Delphi Tour – Arachova
Ancient Greeks believed that Delphi was the Navel of the Earth, a place seen as a spiritual focal point for all Greeks; it included many sanctuaries and the most prestigious oracle in all of ancient Greece. This is where Pythia, the high priestess, uttered the divine advice of god Apollo to mortals who travelled from across the world to seek a prophecy.
Delphi Tour - Arachova
This All Day tour finds us travelling to Delphi, to the archaeological place of the Oracle and the museum.
Passing through Arachova (well known for its colourful woven carpets) we reach Delphi, the ancient sacred worship grounds of God Apollo.
Amongst a lot of beautiful sites, you will have the chance to admire the statue of Heniokhos ‘The Charioteer of Delphi’ and many other ancient findings.
We return to Athens late in the afternoon.
